Dream Big Movie
Dream Big leverages the scale of the giant screen to showcase engineering marvels worldwide. From Dubai’s record-high skyscrapers to bridges soaring through clouds, audiences can experience the massive scale and forces of nature that challenge engineers. Dream Big showcases the ingenuity needed to create engineering marvels as well as the compassion that drives engineers to create better lives for all.
The Engineer-for-a-Day program is an event that gives local high school students interested in pursuing a career in engineering the opportunity to spend the day with engineers that work throughout the City of San Antonio and surrounding areas. Starting at the Proclamation Breakfast, the students will be assigned to various companies to eat breakfast and listen to the Proclamation Breakfast program. After the breakfast program has ended, the students are encouraged to watch the Dream Big movie and then travel to the company they are assigned. Over the rest of the morning and into the afternoon, the students can shadow an engineer and learn about the daily workings in this career field. This event is a great opportunity for local students to see what engineers do and get a sense of what it’s like to be an engineer and what we deal with day by day. Please consider sponsoring students at your company and show them what you do! Click here for more information.
